Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to provide knowledge about normal structure and function of the urogenital system. It also aims to explain pathological changes in these structures and associate them with common urogenital system diseases

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1 Explain the location of the urogenital system organs and related structures,macroscopic and microscopic features and developmental processes
2 Explain the functions and functioning mechanisms of the urogenital system organs and related structures.
3 Describe the disorders and pathological changes that may occur in the urologic system and explain pharmacological approaches that relate to basic clinical diseases
4 Describe the disorders and pathological changes that may occur in the genital system and explain pharmacological approaches that relate to basic clinical diseases
5 Describe urine formation, storage and discharge mechanisms ,associated disorders and pharmacological approaches
6 Explain the urogenital system infectious agents,clinical manifestations and pharmacological approach
7 Explain the basic principles of screening ın the urogenital system
8 Explain liquid electrolyte balance and acid balance and its disorders
9 Identify and describe the anatomical and histological features of the urogenital system organs using appropriate visual materials and terminology
10 Explain fertilization, implantation, and reproductive immunology; recognize the significance of reproductive health.
11 Explain the physiological mechanisms and stages of normal labor and delivery, and identify common abnormalities and their management.
12 Describe the physiological changes occurring during the puerperium period and their clinical significance.
13 Identify the radiological anatomy and diagnostic approach of the urogenital and reproductive systems.
14 Discuss sexual health issues in special populations, including relevant preventive and supportive approaches.
15 Perform and interpret basic urine examination tests and correlate findings with common urologic conditions.
16 Explain the molecular mechanisms of disease and the role of molecular diagnostics in pathology
