About Programme
|
Radiotherapy is a local treatment method used with surgical and systemic treatments in the treatment of cancer. Radiotherapy application is a very important field that requires intensive cooperation of radiation oncology doctors, medical physics specialists, radiotherapy technicians and nurses. The aim of Radiotherapy Program is to train health technicians who will take part in this team.
The program has a 2-year education period and the education language is Turkish.
Program students gain pre-graduate professional experience with applied practices and internships in the hospitals of Acıbadem Healthcare Group and other health institutions which are in cooperation with the university.

History
|
Acibadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, Vocational School of Health Services, Radiotherapy Programme has been admitting students since 2009-2010 academic year.

Qualification Awarded
|
Those who have completed their two - year education and graduated with an associate degree, receive the title of Health Technician-Radiotherapy Technician.

Admission Requirements
Our programme admits students according to the results of YKS and TYT that are conducted by OSYM.
|
Higher Grade Transition
|
Graduates, by taking vertical transfer exam (DGS) have a right to register for Emergency Relief and Disaster Management, Nursing, Healthcare Management undergraduate programmes.
|
Graduation Requirements
|
In order to graduate, the student must have accomplished all the courses in the program and not have the grades of FF, FG, NA and U. , Students must complete 120 ECTS and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Our graduates can work as radiotherapy technicians in radiation oncology departments of government or private hospitals and outpatient treatment centers serving in the field of Health.

Assessment and Grading
The measurement and evaluation methods applied for each course are defined in the “course instruction plan”prepared by the related lecturers and included in the information package. Related articles of Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations are applied regarding exams and Course Success grades.
