About Programme

Nursing is an applied discipline of healthcare which rests on a foundation of scientific knowledge. Individuals, family and society play a great role and have a multi-faceted responsibility in meeting fundamental requirements such as care, comfort, recuperation and enlightenment at each stage of life.

Nursing practices in modern day primary care settings are based on the results of research. Nurses meet the needs of individuals, families and society by basing clinical decisions on their knowledge. In order for nursing care to be effective, reliable and sufficient, nursing practices must be monitored and evaluated critically and meticulously. This serves to emphasize that nursing training needs to be given in conjunction with theoretical nursing and contemporary methods of practice in keeping with the philosophical belief of the unique nature of mankind.

The Department of Nursing of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Acıbadem University is committed to training qualified and competent manpower. Just as with all the education programs based on practice in other disciplines, theoretical knowledge and clinical experience are inseparable components which complement each other. The Kerem Aydınlar Campus is fully equipped with state of the art technology which supports the philosophy, vision, mission and educational values of nursing. Each student can apply their theoretical knowledge in simulation laboratories and equipment prior to undertaking practical education in university teaching hospitals. The Department of Nursing is committed to educating and training nurses who are capable of providing excellent international standards of care to patients/healthy individuals.
