About Programme
|
The aim of Anesthesia Program is to raise contemporary technicians who can prepare patients before operation, help the anesthesiologist by monitoring vital parameters of patient during operation, undertake patient control and supervision after operation, with required knowledge, qualification and internalized spirit of team work.
The program has a 2-year education period and the education language is Turkish.
Program students gain pre-graduate professional experience with their internships at hospitals of Acıbadem Healthcare Group and other healthcare institutions which are in cooperation with the university.
Advanced simulation training in the Center of Advanced Simulation and Education is provided as well as the hospital practice within the program. Preparation process for the students is completed with the crisis scenario created.

History
|
Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, Vocational School of Health Services, anesthesia programme started to admit students in 2009-2010 academic year.

Admission Requirements
|
The program admits students according to the score of TYT obtained from the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) conducted by the Students Selection and Placement Center.
|
Higher Grade Transition
|
Those who have successfully completed the program may transfer to Nursing, Emergency Relief and Disaster Management, Healthcare Management and Social Services undergraduate programs if they are successful in the vertical transition examination (DGS) conducted by OSYM.

Graduation Requirements
|
In order to graduate, the student must have accomplished all the courses in the program and not have the grades of FF, FG, NA and U. In the program, students must complete 120 ECTS and have a general weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Our graduates can work in the operating rooms of public and private hospitals, intensive care units, pain clinics, medical companies and hair transplant centers.
|
Assessment and Grading
|
The measurement and evaluation methods applied for each course are defined in the “course instruction plan”prepared by the related lecturers and included in the information package. Various measurement and evaluation methods such as mid-term, quiz, practice, seminar and final are used for the evaluation of students .For graduation, the GPA is expected to be at least 2 out of 4.
