About Programme
|
The aim of Operating Room Services Program is to educate health technicians preparing the operating room for operation and giving support to surgical team during surgery.
The program has a 2-year education period and the education language is Turkish.
In Operating Room Services Program, students take courses on general information about the profession and duties and responsibilities of the operating room technicians as well as courses of basic medical sciences and culture courses. They develop their professional skills by practical trainings in the Center of Advanced Simulation and Education (CASE).
Program students gain pre-graduate professional experience with clinical practice and summer internship in the operating rooms of Acıbadem Healthcare Group hospitals and other healthcare facilities which are in cooperation with the university.

Acibadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, Vocational School of Health Services, Operating Room Services Program has been admitting students since 2015-2016 academic year.

Qualification Awarded
|
Those who have completed their two - year education and graduated with an associate degree, receive the title of Health Technician-operating room technician.

Admission Requirements
|
Our programme admits students according to the results of YKS and TYT that are conducted by OSYM.

Higher Grade Transition
|
Graduates, by taking the advantage of the regulation on the continuity of their undergraduate education”, if the quota is opened in vertical transfer exam (DGS) determined by OSYM, have a right to register for Nursing, Nursing and health services, Emergency and Disaster Management undergraduate programmes.

Graduation Requirements
|
In order to graduate, the student must have accomplished all the courses in the program and not have the grades of FF, FG, NA and U. In the Operating Room Services Program, students must complete 120 ECTS and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Graduates of this programme are able to work in organizations and Ministry of Health Hospitals, Social Security, and other governmental organizations, health departments, training and research hospitals and medical centers

Assessment and Grading
Various measurement and evaluation methods such as mid-term exam, quiz, practice, project, report and final are used for the evaluation of students For graduation, the GPA is expected to be at least 2 out of 4. Courses are scored and lettered as shown in the table.
