About Programme
|
Oral and Dental Health Program raises health technicians to support dentists in all clinical studies in dental clinics.
Oral and dental health technicians prepare the working environment for the dentist, admits patients and help the dentist and patient during treatment.
The program has a 2-year education period and the education language is Turkish.
Oral and Dental Health Program students are provided with practical training in mouth and dental health clinics of Acıbadem Healthcare Group hospitals as well as theoretical education.
Program students gain experience in their field by undertaking compulsory summer internships at Acıbadem Healthcare Group hospitals and other healthcare facilities are in cooperation with the university.

History
|
Acibadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, Vocational School of Health Services, oral and Dental Health Programstarted admitting students in 2015-2016 academic year. The aim of the program is to train health technicians who assist in all clinical studies of the dentist as the clinical assistant of the dentist in dental outpatient clinics. Prepares the working environment for dentists, dental technicians, and physician and patient during treatment, admit the patient and help the clinician. The aim of the oral and dental health technician programme is to train students who are respected, qualified, modern and who have reached the international level of knowledge in the field of dental health which is preferred in the public and private sectors to meet the need for decommissioned staff in our country.

Qualification Awarded
|
Those who have completed their two-year education and graduated with an associate degree take the title of Oral and Dental Health Technician.

Admission Requirements
|
Oral and Dental Health Programme admits students according to the basic proficiency test (TYT-score) score taken from the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) conducted by the placement center (OSYM).
|
Higher Grade Transition
|
If the students who have successfully completed the program are successful in the vertical transfer examination (DGS) conducted by OSYM, they can transfer to the undergraduate programs of Rescue and Disaster Management Department, Nursing, Health Administration, Social Services.

Graduation Requirements
|
In order to graduate, the student must have accomplished all the courses in the program and not have the grades of FF, FG, NA and U. In oral and Dental Health Program, students must complete 120 ECTS and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

The measurement and evaluation methods applied for each course are defined in the “course instruction plan”prepared by the related lecturers and included in the information package. Related articles of Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Associate Degree, undergraduate education and examination regulations are applied regarding exams and Course Success grades.
