About Programme

The mission of Acıbadem University Faculty of Pharmacy is to train pharmacists at international standards who have been well-educated, are creative, and dedicated to research and development. We aim for our graduate pharmacists to become highly sought after in every field of pharmaceutical sciences in medical industries and hospitals in Turkey and around the world.

Our students benefit from learning in the laboratories of Acıbadem University Faculty of Pharmacy which are equipped with state of the art technology as well as Acıbadem Healthcare Group hospitals and outpatient clinics located not just in Istanbul, but in a variety of regions in Turkey.

Our experience academic staff closely follows scientific developments. Their devoted contributions to their students as well as the interactive, innovative education models they implement enables students to have full knowledge in all areas of pharmaceutical sciences (academic, medical industry, hospital, independent pharmacy) and competence to work in them. Throughout the education of the students, the faculty aims to work in collaboration with the medical industry, and to contribute to the development of the medical industry in Turkey by using all available resources. The Faculty also aims to undertake research and development for the development of herbal, dermatological and cosmetic products as well as to design scientific studies which could result in the development of a product. The Faculty vows to undertake all these responsibilities and share all the processes and procedures associated with them with their students.

History
A faculty supporting the involvement of competent and qualified pharmacists in all areas and processes involving drugs, Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydinlar University Faculty of Pharmacy was opened in 2015 and started to accept students in 2016-2017 academic year.
Qualification Awarded
Faculty of Pharmacy Students who successfully complete the curriculum are awarded the title of PHARMACIST at the end of their education.
Admission Requirements
For admission to the Faculty of Pharmacy, a high school diploma is required and a central national examination by the OSYM must be conducted, or the student has to meet the necessary conditions according to the regulations of the Higher Education Institution related to international student admission.
Higher Grade Transition
The graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy can continue their master and doctorate programs depending on the admission requirements. They can continue their education in Pharmacy and choose special areas after taking Specialization Exam in Pharmacy (EUS).
Graduation Requirements
Students must successfully complete all 225 National Credits and 300 ECTS credits to graduate. Having a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 is the required qualification requirement for graduation. 70% attendance for theoretical courses and 80% attendance for laboratory courses are required. In addition, they must complete a total of 120 days of pharmacy / hospital internships, and a graduation project (during 9. and 10. semesters) in order to graduate.

Assessment and Grading
The types of exams and assessment and evaluation forms used for each course in the program are explained in detail in the Course Learning Plans. In addition, a midterm exam and an absolute final exam are held for each course. At the same time, students' internship grades are determined by taking the average of the follow-up and exams given at the end of the internship.
