About Programme

The aim of Podology (Foot Health) Program is to raise health technicians with necessary knowledge and skills to protect foot health in cooperation with the physicians and to prevent diseases that may occur accordingly, by providing awareness for foot health and its protection.

The program has a 2-year education period and the education language is Turkish.

In the program, practical trainings are carried out in Podology Laboratory along with theoretical knowledge.

Program students gain pre-graduate professional experience with internships in hospitals, sports medicine centers and nursing centers of Acıbadem Healthcare Group and in podology units of diabetes hospitals and in other health institutions which are in cooperation with the university.

Acibadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, Vocational School of Health Services, Podology programme started admitting students in 2014-2015 academic year.
Qualification Awarded
Those who have completed their two - year education and graduated with an associate degree are awarded the title of Health Technician-Podology technician.
Admission Requirements
Podology Program; admits the student saccording the results of the basic proficiency test (TYT-score) score obtained by the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) conducted by OSYM.
Higher Grade Transition
Those who have completed the program successfully can transfer to emergency and disaster management, physiotherapy and rehabilitation program can transfer to a bachelor's in nursing and health care management. if they are successful in The Vertical transfer exam made by OSYM (DGS)
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate, the student must have accomplished all the courses in the program and not have the grades of FF, FG, NA and U. In podology program, students must complete 120 ECTS and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Our graduates can work in podoloji units, hospitals, medical centers, foot health centers, sports centers, in hospitals, diabetes, obesity, centers, physician offices, elderly care homes.
Assessment and Grading
Various measurement and evaluation methods such as mid-term exam, quiz, practice, project, report and final are used for the evaluation of students For graduation, the GPA is expected to be at least 2 out of 4. Courses are scored and lettered as shown in the table.
